We'll guide you through:

  • Choosing your business model

Required Certifications and Insurance

Make yourself a legitimate business.

If you want to teach at your studio, you'll need to be at least 200-hr yoga teacher certified.  If you plan to offer yoga teacher trainings at your studio, you should secure a Registered Yoga School (RYS) certification through Yoga Alliance.

Don't forget to about insurance!  It's a must-have to protect your business from potential liability.  Anahata Yoga Consulting will help you navigate the paperwork and requirements to keep your business safe and professional.

Remember:

  • Register yourself through Yoga Alliance as a certified teacher
  • Yoga Studio Insurance is important and will be a requirement of any business loan

How to Market your Yoga Business

Create customers that love you!

Establishing a brand is no easy task but absolutely can be a whole lot of fun.  Think about the personality you want to create for your new yoga studio.  What will your logo look like?  What will your website include and how will you keep it fresh?  How will you use blogging, email marketing and social media?  How will you nurture new visitors?  Will you sell yoga products at your studio?

Your total communication plan should stay true to you and the community you so passionately want to create.  Our experienced Anahata Consultants will help you outline your unique SMarketing plan and work with you to make the right decisions for profitability of your new yoga business.

Remember, you'll need:

  • A unique brand identity, logo, website and digital communication plan
  • Thoughtful pricing structures and a POS system that provides financial reporting
  • Yogi-friendly products to compliment your service-based business

How to Design a Yoga Studio

Build something beautiful.

The design of your studio will define your culture.  Thoughtful decor and materials tell a story and support the vibe you want to create.    Will you create an atmosphere that gears toward athletic, meditative, traditional, contemporary?  Are organic and/or sustainably sourced materials important to you and your customers?

Your Anahata Consultant will ask you a series of questions to understand your goals.  We'll collaborate with designers to provide custom studio renderings to help you see your options and to bring your ideas to life.

Design details to consider:

  • Select floor materials that will suit your brand and yoga style
  • Choose colors that support meditation and lower stress levels
